It offers a more consistent standard than hand-mixed concrete because it's mixed at service stations using a computer system, ensuring uniform proportions every time. Ready-mixed concrete is more convenient than hand-mixing because it saves space for storing mix components and is easier to pour into molds. Concrete compressive strength, often referred to as "strength," measures the strength of concrete. It's tested by compressing standard cylindrical concrete specimens (according to US and Thai standards) or cubic concrete specimens (according to British standards) to determine their compressive strength. Compressive strength is crucial for controlling the quality of concrete used in different types of construction. For example, concrete with higher compressive strength is needed for a parking lot floor than for interior spaces because the parking lot area bears more weight than the interior of a house. For concrete compressive strength applications in the central region, which is not coastal and does not have saline soil problems, there are four main types of ready-mixed concrete available: Type 1: Coarse concrete with no compressive strength, used for pouring the bottom of column holes. Type 2: Concrete with compressive strength of 180 KSC and 210 KSC, used for pouring indoor and outdoor areas that do not bear heavy loads or areas where there is no vehicle parking or traffic. Type 3: Concrete with compressive strength of 240 KSC and 280 KSC, used for pouring columns, beams, exterior house floors, garage floors, or roads. Type 4: Concrete with compressive strength from 300 KSC to 400 KSC, used for pouring rice mill floors or areas where machinery is placed. The required compressive strength is calculated based on the size of the machinery, the size of the vehicles used in the area, and the objects placed on the concrete floor. If there is large machinery or vehicles used in the area, a concrete with a higher compressive strength should be used accordingly.
