TAKING A GAP YEAR | WAIT BABY FAMILY

Sometimes the best things in life are unexpected! I never planned on doing a gap year. My plan was to graduate undergrad, apply to dental schools, and follow up with my DAT. That's exactly what I ended up doing BUT I didn't do well on my DAT and my GPA was extremely low. I didn't get accepted to any Dental School the first time around. This leads me to sign up and register for the DAT again in May 2019. All while working at dental offices as an assistant and marketing director. I didn't do well again on my second attempt at the DAT. It was time for me to look into a different route, which was getting my Masters in Biomedical Sciences. Taking a gap year is the best thing that students can do, as long as it's productive. Its a time to self reflect and evaluate yourself and find out ways that you can improve yourself as a human being. Whether it is to improve your GPA or DAT, it might be that you need more experience in the dental field or even travel the world to learn more about cultures and have some time for your mind, body, and soul. Whatever it may be, a gap year greatly beneficial adnI strongly advise students to take one. I'll leave you guys with this..... never rush and never follow society. Do what is best for you, make choices that benefit your life and your journey. Take the right steps that are needed to improve yourself as a person and TAKE YOUR TIME, there is NO RUSH WHAT SO EVER!!! We have our whole lives to work!
