Allama Majid Raza Abidi is the name of a multidimensional personality. He is a seasoned, and famous speaker, as well as a unique and well versed poet of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them). Allah has blessed him with a great personality and a fertile mind. He received his early religious education from Aqa Sheikh Isfahani and Maulana Syed Mohammad Najafi in Karachi. He acquired his primary education from Anglo Oriental School, and middle and secondary education from Pakland Lower Secondary School and Karachi Academy School respectively. He has done his Intermediate education from Adamjee Science College, Karachi. He graduated from the University of Karachi with a degree in Faculty of Pharmacy and earned the title of Doctor of Medicine. He has learned religious law and jurisprudence from Aqa Sultani (shaheed0 and other distinguished scholars from Madrasa Dar ul Hikma Masjid-e-Noor Iman. He also attended and has been present in various literary, scholarly and preaching sessions of Allama Aqeel Turabi (son of Allama Rashid Turabi), Allama Talib Johari, Allama Zameer Akhtar Naqvi, Kaleem e Al e Aba Shahid Naqvi, Waheed e mawaddat Waheed Al Hassan Hashmi, Shair e Ahlebait Sibt Hassan Anjum, janab Naseer Turabi (son of Allama Rashid Turabi), Danishwer Majid Hussain Rizvi,Sahir lucknawi، Sahir Faizabadi,Janab Shafaq Akbarabadi, Prof. Sardar Naqvi, Maulana Nasir Abbas Zaidi, Shadan Dehlavi, Sukhan Fatehpuri, Zahid Fatehpuri and other great scholarly personalities. When he went to India, he had detailed and knowledgeable meetings with Allama Mirza Muhammad Athar, Allama Agha Rohi, Maulana Mirza Muhammad Ashfaq, Dr. Kalb e Sadiq and many other famous poets, writers, scholars and preachers. In the field of sozkhwani, he was very much influenced by Abad Muhammad Naqvi alias Zair. Allama Abidi travels to various countries to address mourning ceremonies, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, Africa, India, the United Arab Emirates, and all cities in Pakistan. Allama Majid Raza Abidi currently is one of the most reputable and leading orators and poets of Ahlul Bait in Pakistan and India and there is no Urdu language speaker in the world who does not know Allama Majid Raza Abidi for his exceptional qualities. Allama Majid Raza Abidi has recited 22 (marsyas) elegies so far. He has written many lamentations (nohas), salutations (salams), manqabats of Ahlul Bait، quatrains and ghazals. He has compiled and written many books namely Mansabe AbuTalib (whether Abu Talib was Prophet’s ،Successor, Saint or Imam).
