Interview by Mario Lembert A spokesperson for the LKP (Liyannaj Kont Pwofitasyon – League Against Exploitation) spoke about water management in Guadeloupe on the sidelines of the elected officials' congress and the debate on the evolution of the party's status. The spokesperson reiterated that the commitments made in the 2009 LKP protocol have never been honored, denounced the misappropriation of funds intended for water, and reaffirmed the slogan "No service, no payment." He called for the creation of a public entity for the management and distribution of drinking water and sanitation, without multinational corporations or public service delegations, and demanded the allocation of the 3 billion euros needed to rebuild the network. He pointed to the State's responsibility, revisited the creation of the single water authority (SMGEAG), and argued that the congress, lacking decision-making power and held by a restricted committee, deliberately excluded unions and grassroots organizations.
