La Ciudad Perdida de Perú Que Parece Construida Por Dioses

Chan Chan was a city that defied all logic. In the middle of Peru's coastal desert, the Chimú civilization built an immense capital using raw earth: palaces, plazas, temples, warehouses, and monumental adobe walls. For centuries, this metropolis controlled an extensive network of canals, transformed the desert into fertile fields, and became one of the largest urban centers in pre-Columbian America. But behind its grandeur lay a disturbing contradiction: the water that gave birth to Chan Chan could also destroy it. The extreme rains associated with El Niño rapidly erode its fragile earthen structures, and this threat remains active to this day. In this documentary, we will learn: —how the Chimú built a gigantic city without stone or fired bricks; —why each new ruler had to build his own palace; —how they brought water across dozens of kilometers of desert; —how the Incas found the kingdom's weak point; —and why Chan Chan continues to struggle to survive more than a thousand years later. This video is the result of extensive research, selection, and comparison of historical, archaeological, and heritage sources. The script was carefully developed to explain the history of Chan Chan clearly, rigorously, and visually, avoiding oversimplifications and distinguishing between verified facts and historical interpretations. The thumbnail images are artistic representations intended to convey the scale and mystery of the story. They do not literally depict what Chan Chan actually looks like.
