Vintage Jewelry Repair. How to replace a brooch pin. Have you ever found a beautiful vintage brooch in excellent condition only to flip it over and discover the pins missing? Frustrating isn’t it? I have good news!Depending on the type of pin or rather the type of mechanism that holds the pin in place, it’s actually a simple and easy repair. Today I will be repairing three brooches that my cousin purchased for me at an estate sale. All of them are missing their pins but in otherwise perfect condition. I’ll explain the type of pins you can easily replace, the tools and materials to use, plus I will demonstrate how to do it.
