Shekhar Suman is perhaps India’s entertainer par excellence. More than an actor he’s someone who makes you feel happy. Tens of millions will remember his show Movers & Shakers. It used to be one of the most watchable programmes on Indian television. Now he’s back with a new show called Shekhar Tonite. It’s not just different, it’s better. It has humour, music and a lot of good-natured teasing of politicians. It also has fascinating guests and riveting conversation. It’s only eleven episodes old but it’s already a runaway success. In this programme Karan Thapar talks to Shekhar Suman about his new show, about himself, his teasing of politicians and asks him if he’s worried about the possible repercussions.
