Since Hunter spent most of 1983 playing with The Dinosaurs, he hadn’t performed solo in awhile. He must have missed it, as he seems really into it; uncharacteristically encouraging Q&A with the audience, not to mention whipping out three new songs found nowhere else that I’m aware of. He even addresses the state of the not-yet-abandoned “Alligator Moon” project. He was apparently still revising it at the time, which was news to me! I thought this one merited a mix of the mono board feed already on the Beta Masters with Mark's Nak 700 masters. Its not perfect, as the board feed was nice and clear but recorded at extremely low levels, so it's a little hissy when amplified to normal listening levels. That aside, mixing the two master sources together is far more satisfying than either audio source alone. The mono board feed greatly increases the vocal and guitar definition, while the Nak 700’s give it much greater dynamic range, proves there was an audience (audience barely audible on the board feed, ha!) and provides a nice stereo listening experience. I hope you enjoy it! Alan Bershaw
