American thought UK Food was Bland.... until THIS

American thought British food was going to be bland…. Until now. This is what real British pub food actually looks like. The Pig and Butcher on Liverpool Road butchers all their own meat in-house, and it shows in every single plate. We started with a proper scotch egg, then went straight into the lamb pie served bubbling in a cast iron dish with fresh watercress — Tanner’s first time ever eating lamb — and a 45-day dry-aged steak with gravy, buttered new potatoes, peas, and a green salad. Then we finished with sticky toffee pudding, which might have been the best thing on the table. Americans are told our whole lives that British food is bland and boring. This meal made that idea look completely ridiculous. If you’re visiting London and you want to understand why British pub food is having a moment, The Pig and Butcher is where you go.
