First published in 1988, this deck combined the principles of the Kabbalistic Tarot and the Armanic Futhark. Furthermore, Hermann Heindl (he was neither the first nor the last) attempted to combine the Minor Arcana with the 64 hexagrams of the I Ching. While the Armanic Futhark more or less neatly overlaps the 22 Major Arcana, the hexagrams of the I Ching are distributed among the Minor Arcana cards rather arbitrarily. To the 18 runes of the Armanic Futhark, Heindl added four more to fill the remaining spaces in the Major Arcana: three (Wynn, Othal, and Peorth) are taken from the classical Futhark, and the fourth ("Universe") is his own creation. Thus, both the Armanic runes and the Major Arcana acquired new meaning, enriching and revealing each other. The deck is constructed according to the Crowleyan (Kabbalistic) model. The court cards adhere to the structure of the Tetragrammaton: two "boy-girl" pairs—King-Queen, Prince-Princess—and the names of the Major and Minor Arcana are also given almost exactly according to Crowley. According to the neo-Kabbalistic (Crowleyan) tradition, the Queen is considered senior to the King, who is therefore called the Knight. However, Crowley himself found this inconvenient, as it disrupts the harmony of the Tetragrammaton. Therefore, we will consider the court cards in the Kabbalistic order: King-Queen-Prince-Princess. Heindl only rejected Crowley's reversal of the VIII and XI Arcana: Strength is in the eighth place in Heindl's deck, and Justice is in the eleventh. Likewise, he returned the letter h to the Emperor Arcana (IV), and the letter x to the Star Arcana (XVII), clearly believing that Crowley was, after all, a 20th-century figure, while the true Kabbalistic tradition had developed much earlier. Upright and reversed cards are not distinguished in Heindl's deck layouts. In these layouts, as with Crowley's deck, the card's position and its surroundings play a key role. There is no white card in this deck either.
