We followed Rina Amamiya, a popular hostess at Ueno's No. 1 cabaret club "Club Ren Ueno," during her birthday event...! What happened behind the scenes that day, and why were there tears? ■ Rina Amamiya Born January 11, 2001, she is 25 years old. Raised in a single-parent household, and after failing her junior high school entrance exams, she moved to Tokyo bearing the burden of paying for her own tuition. After graduating from high school, she worked as a beer vendor at a baseball stadium when she was scouted in Shinbashi. At 18, she started her nightlife career at a club in Roppongi, and later became one of the most popular hostesses at one of Kabukicho's top clubs. While achieving impressive results at Valentine's Day and cherry blossom-themed club events, she also successfully lost a significant amount of weight between the ages of 18 and 20 by restricting her diet to around 300 calories a day, boosting her reputation in both appearance and customer service skills. However, after experiencing the frustration of feeling like "no matter how hard I try, there's no limit to how much I can improve" due to the grueling work schedule of 7 days a week and constant after-hours, she made a sudden move to Club Ren in Ueno for a fresh start. Even now, balancing the glamour she honed in Kabukicho with the down-to-earth, natural demeanor she cultivated in Ueno, she continues to be a leading and popular cast member at Club Ren Ueno.
