¡Prohibido decir! La cultura de la cancelación | Joaquín Sánchez Mariño | TEDxCordoba
Cancel culture is a phenomenon that challenges contemporary society. Is it a form of vigilante justice or the death of complex thought? In his talk, Joaquín Sánchez Mariño questions the need for constant commentary on social media and warns us about the dangers of cancellation. If not by canceling them, how can we deal with ideas we don't like? Joaquín is a journalist and writer. He is the author of two novels and "En Venezuela" (Galerna, 2019), a chronicle resulting from his coverage of the social uprising in Venezuela in February 2019. He has conducted fieldwork in Haiti, the Amazon, Mozambique, Lebanon, Lesbos, Russia, Egypt, and other places. His latest project is Under Periodismo: an attempt to produce independent, collaborative, on-the-ground journalism using all the narrative tools of the 21st century.
