Momoiro Clover Z's Ayaka Sasaki (Aarin), who is the same age as Tamagotchi, appeared at the Tamagotchi 30th Anniversary Announcement. At the event, Sasaki looked back on Tamagotchi's history as well as her own activities. She also shared an anecdote about when her member color, "pink," was decided. Sasaki recalled, "It wasn't decided by us; it was decided by our agency. There was no official announcement. We were announced as pink members through our costumes. At first, I thought, 'Maybe the concept for this is that each member has a different color,' and I was like, 'Yay! It's pink!' But then our next costume, and the one after that, were all pink. It was like each member realized, 'Maybe this is the color we'll be wearing forever.'" She also revealed that four of the six members had wanted pink. "I love Flower and I love pink, so honestly, it felt like a fist pump.
