Heisenberg's Uncertainty Principle states that it is impossible to simultaneously know the position and velocity of a particle in quantum mechanics. Heisenberg's uncertainty principle is responsible for the indeterminism of quantum physics. Einstein's famous phrase, "God does not play dice," was uttered in a conversation about the nature of the indeterminacy or uncertainty associated with the uncertainty principle. But what does Heisenberg's uncertainty principle mean? Is it that we lack the technology to conduct an experiment and measure the velocity and position of a particle in quantum physics? Or does this principle speak to something deeper? In this video, we will discuss what the uncertainty principle is and why it is so difficult to understand and accept this principle of quantum physics.
