The ULTIMATE GUIDE TO HEALDSBURG! ______________________________ I’m heading to Healdsburg in Sonoma County and I’m showing you everything you need to know for a fun and food-filled day. I love Healdsburg and I often head there on my days off. It’s the perfect walking town complete with bars, restaurants, coffee shops, wine tasting rooms, boutiques, and hotels. Lately it seems like something new and fun is always opening on the square and I am absolutely loving this fantastic alternative to Napa Valley when you want to head to wine country in Northern California. My first stop, as always, is to grab a coffee from SHED. With Michelin Starred Chef Perry Hoffman leading the team as Culinary Director, SHED is an amazing place to grab anything from a small bite to go to a full fledged meal in the cafe. Feeling thirsty? Cozy up to the Fermentation Bar for a house made fermented beverage like kombucha or grab a shot of espresso from the coffee bar - they’re serving local favorite, Flying Goat. When the weather is warm and I’m feeling hungry, I always crave seafood and raw oysters. Cut to my next stop, Willi’s Seafood and Raw bar, conveniently located just down the street from SHED. This place has the freshest oysters and ceviche for when you need a little pick me up on hot day. I recommend a cucumber martini for your beverage pairing pleasure, it’s fresh and light with the perfect balance of savory and sweet to compliment everything from lighter dishes from the raw bar to something more substantial like the not-to-be-missed mouth-watering Lobster Roll. As the sun goes down and the happiest hour comes upon me - I head to my favorite cocktail bar in Northern California - Duke’s Spirited Cocktails. These guys are consummate professionals, serving seasonal cocktails, local beers and wines, and a few a snacks. Order the Peach Cobbler - I promise it’s not sweet!!
