FINALLY OPEN! Gold Coast's Newest Cycling Superhighway - COOMERA CONNECTOR Stage 1 North

The wait is over! I rode the brand-new Coomera Connector (M9) Stage 1 North shared path on its official opening day on 2/12/2025. This 4-kilometre stretch from Shipper Drive, Coomera to Helensvale Road, Helensvale is the first section of the new "Second M1" to open, and it's a game-changer for active transport on the Gold Coast. Join me for a first-look review of this amazing cycling infrastructure, featuring the 4-meter wide path, noise barriers, and connections to the local network.
