A huge 14,800 ft manifest train NS 119 negotiates the stout grade by Shawsville westbound on track 2. A couple AC44s will lead 139 cars including the ST70ACe in tow. Another AC44 will be in the middle fronting 79 additional cars. So, we have 3 AC44C6Ms hauling 218 cars, almost 15,000 tons up the mountain into Christiansburg. It took them 13:00 minutes but they did it with no issues. Now I know why NS moves freight thru traffic west over the mountains on the N Line.
