The Blackstone Valley Community Concert Band (BVCCB) performs Michael Kamen's "Symphonic Suite from 'Band of Brothers' ", arranged by Jerry Brubaker, on Sunday, May 03, 2026 at Uxbridge High School Auditorium, Uxbridge, MA. Conducted by Justin Falvo. This concert program "Building A More Perfect World" celebrated America's Semiquincentennial and featured pieces that represent pivotal times in the nation's history. Important to Mr. Falvo, artistic director of the band, was the idea that in order to celebrate our country's 250th anniversary, we must reflect on America's entire history, which has experienced both with moments of triumph and periods of darkness. Only when we consider the whole history of our nation can we hope to build the next 250 years better than the first. Ambrose's 1992 non-fiction book of the same name. The executive producers were Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks, who had collaborated on the 1998 World War II film Saving Private Ryan. The episodes first aired in 2001 on HBO. The series won Emmy and Golden Globe awards in 2001 for best miniseries. This heroic and haunting music was composed by well-known film composer Michael Kamen as the theme to the HBO mini-series Band Of Brothers. It is a sweeping, diverse score that encompasses lovely soaring ballads as well as driving, intense splashes of sound. ABOUT BVCCB Blackstone Valley Community Concert Band, hereby known as BVCCB, is a nonprofit organization that was founded in 2002 & is based in Uxbridge, MA. BVCCB is made up of over 80 volunteer musicians. Our members encompass a wide range of ages, careers, locations, & skill levels. It is a shared love of music that brings this tight knit group together! As this group continues to grow, we are endlessly humbled by the support of family, friends, members, & surrounding communities.
