Moddi - Baby's Eyes (acoustic)

After reading Neil Gaiman's brilliant and terrifying children's book 'Coraline' on our Train Tour, I was so frightened that I needed to convert my shivers into a song. I wrote "Baby's eyes" on a Saturday, and the next Sunday we recorded it on the rooftop of our hotel in Dresden, just a few minutes past midnight. Thanks to Neil Gaiman for the wonderful book. www.neilgaiman.com www.moddi.no/traintour I've got a jar where I keep my baby's eyes safe and sound from the dread of the day I have promised her this, she'll have fun and live in bliss if she just gives her blue eyes away 'cause for all that she cares there's no need for her to see from now all shall be laughter and play in my house she'll be loved and have all that she needs I will please her and keep her with me until her dying day I've got a jar where I keep my baby's eyes for my love this is all she must pay and I've sworn that I'll tear out her tongue and teeth as well if she just even dreams to go away I will make her forget that she once had a name that there's grass and a blue sky above and with buttons for eyes she will see a whole new world I will keep her and love her until there's nothing left to love
