As a child Julie saw the impact of belonging on a child's learning. As Principal of Milpera State High School (QLD) where 55% of students are refugees, over 60 languages are spoken and all students start school with limited English. Julie is redefining what is possible for students who are starting behind. Her inspiring story showcases the incredible success that can be achieved with innovative teaching practice and dedicated educators. Julie is an alumna of the Schools Plus Teaching Fellows.
