Alex Meixner plays El Cumbanchero for Accordion Awareness Month
June was designated National Accordion Awareness month back in 1989. In Alex Meixner's first video to kick off the 2020 festivities, he shows the instrument's worldwide musical reach by playing a Cuban tune, "El Cumbanchero" on a German Hohner Music squeezebox, which was a song he recorded in Texas with Canadian accordion champion, Michael Bridge for his "Happiness is a Choice" album.
