Yerzhan Kulibayev is a professor at the Escuela Superior de Música in Madrid and a winner of six first prizes at prestigious international competitions. He left Kazakhstan at the age of 12 and studied with the legendary Zakhar Bron, one of the world's foremost violin teachers. His concerts have taken place at Carnegie Hall in New York, the Opéra Bastille in Paris, the Mariinsky Theatre in St. Petersburg, the Konzerthaus in Berlin, the Sony Center in Toronto, and other prestigious venues around the world. The Queen of Spain has also awarded him an honorary diploma three times and invited him to perform at the Royal Palace of El Pardo. He plays a 1722 Antonio Stradivarius violin—an instrument more than three hundred years old.
