The game consists of 60 illustrated cards and lasts 30-60 minutes (longer for 9-10 players). The optimal number of players for beginners is 4-8. All players are travelers in a carriage on the way to the Devil's Castle, but no one in the carriage knows who is friend and who is foe. At the beginning of the game, each player is secretly assigned membership in one of the two rival secret societies. Each player also receives a secret profession with a special ability. At the beginning, players have no idea who the others are or which society they belong to. To win the game, each society must collect three specific objects together. To do this, players must first discover who their allies are and then where the three objects are located among the other objects, or who possesses them. To obtain this information, players must skillfully trade their objects with their fellow players, as each item has a special effect that occurs when they trade it away, e.g., "If you trade the monocle, you may look at the society of your trading partner." But even those who bravely enter the melee can gain important information, as the winner of this fight may look at the loser's cards or even steal one. However, caution is advised, as all players can help the attacker or defender in a fight. If they know your identity but you don't know theirs, it's risky to jump into a fight. The party that collects its three objects first and successfully declares victory wins the game. The carriage ride to Devil's Castle has a special atmosphere, because you can never be sure whether someone is genuinely supporting you because they're part of your party or if they're just pretending to be your friend! ▶Board Game Club: http://bit.ly/brettspielclub ▶Board Game Reviews: http://bit.ly/huc_reviews ▶Let's Play Board Games: http://bit.ly/huc_letsplays A review copy was available for this video.
