Atheatos IDE-386+. A freeware IDE Option ROM (LBA28). Highly optimized for 386 and later PCs.
Well yeah! I went there and made my own IDE Option ROM for support of LBA28 Disks. So support for disks of up to 128GB in size. Hence using this ROM you can remove all disk size limitations for old systems. And this is not all! This is a highly optimized ROM written in assembly of only 2KB in size! It is specifically designed for 386 and later (up to Pentium) machines. So It offers the best possible Disk Speed performance for these systems. This has no 286 and older or very old HDD support. Finally this is offered as a freeware, with a very permissive license for any use! You can download it here! (Have fun using it): https://drive.google.com/u/0/uc?id=1T... Disclaimer, OK this is just version 1.0. I have tested it a lot... but bugs might still exist there, so use it with caution. If you have any bugs just sent an email or something, I will fix ^^. -- TIMESTAMPS -- 00:00 - Intro 01:41 - Disk Size Limits. 04:16 - Speed Optimizations. 06:10 - Tests Setup. 10:34 - 86Box Results. 16:00 - Real System Tests. 22:28 - Licensing and Outro Feel free to donate if you found this ROM useful: https://paypal.me/galanopu
