I won't say Zato requires complicated inputs (as can be inferred from the not so frequent movement of the fightstick display), but the way Eddie works is definitely not 'traditional' as many people may be accustomed to the very concept/stereotype that fighting game moves are consisted of quarter circles, half circles, and sometimes charged motions. But, as the great Master Yoda would say, "you need to unlearn what you have learnt." And that is what makes Zato really fun to play with.
