A special broadcast from La 8 Salamanca commemorates Holy Week, marking the 20th anniversary of its declaration as a Festival of International Tourist Interest. Holy Monday is one of the days for the Brotherhood of the True Cross, the oldest in the city. It processes in absolute silence with the images of Christ of the Doctrinos (17th century) and Our Lady of Sorrows (Pedro Hernández, 1615). During its beautiful route through the city's historic center, the only sounds are the bell ringer's calls for silence and the clanking of the penitents' chains.
