How to sharpen a gouge by hand
I've seen too many videos on sharpening gouges that rely on using expensive bench grinders and stones. I found through this method, you can take any shape or size of gouge from a door stop to a razor blade. Ideally you would use: 400 grit 800 grit 1200 grit of sandpaper, progressively in order to get the keenest and longest lasting edge on your tool possible, but as I only had up to 240 lying around today, that's what I stuck with! (means more work on the strop) I strongly recommend investing in the green polishing compound used here. It takes any edged tool you own to the next level and one block lasts for years. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Silverline-1... Instagram: Samhbp
