Shafting a froe (making an ash handle for a splitting axe)
In this simple video, I show how I made a handle for my new froe (sometimes called a splitting axe) and how I performed the shafting. Which I will use to get my woodstorage under control! I love using a froe, because it just splits so cleanly, I bought this from a blacksmith and I made the handle out of ash with a wedge of some spare padauk. I hope you enjoy and learn a little from this video.
