This one dahlia clump will make me $240--easy spring dahlia division!

Today on the flower farm, I'll show what it looks like to uncover my overwintered dahlias and will discuss the pros and cons of doing it this way--overwintering our dahlias instead of storing inside, plus we will look at how to divide one of these massive clumps and some tips and tricks for dahlia dividing! If I left these in the ground, they would start to bloom a bit less prolifically so I typically dig and divide every second or third year, and I prefer to do it in spring. This way, the eyes are more visible and you can make many more successful divisions, especially if you're just starting out with dahlia growing and arent' quite sure what to look for when finding eyes yet! One tuber? Sells for $10. This clump made 24. WIN! Have you tried overwintering yet?
