Evidence shown at Parkland shooter’s trial reveals troubled middle school years | August 30

The sentencing trial for Parkland school shooter Nikolas Cruz continued on Tuesday with more witnesses, including a former special education counselor who worked with Cruz from sixth through eighth grade. Evidence presented at the trial showed Cruz frequently cursed at teachers, made threats and had an obsession with guns in middle school. A jury will decide whether Cruz will be sentenced to death or life in prison for murdering 14 students and three staff members at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School on Feb. 14, 2018.
