What to do when visiting a Guitar Store

My thanks to "possm33" for his kind enquiry. I quite understand how some can feel uncomfortable when trying out guitars in a music shop / guitar store, especially when there are those around who are basically "showing off" whatever skills they have or what they think that they have. Playing guitar is not a competitive sport and when trying out a prospective purchase it is the guitar or guitars that are being auditioned, not the player.
