Welcome to our immersive video tour of the vibrant world of Hip Hop in New York City in 2023! In this tour, we will take you through the streets of the Big Apple to explore the legacy of Hip Hop and the artists who made it great. It all started in 1973 when DJ Kool Herc and his sister Cindy threw a party in the Bronx that changed the course of music history forever. Now, 50 years later, the legacy of Hip Hop can be seen all around the city, and we're here to take you on a journey through the streets of New York to explore its impact. ***Chapters**** 00:36 Biggie Smalls Monument 01:27 Adam Yauch Park 02:17 Wu Tang Clan District 03:13 ODB Mural 04:05 The LOX Mural 05:01 DMX Mural 06:10 KRS-One Mural 07:11 Pop Smoke Mural 07:59 Run DMC Mural 08:48 Biggie Smalls Mural 09:36 A Tribe Called Quest Mural 10:33 Big L Mural 11:06 Big Pun Mural *********************************** First, we'll head over to the Brooklyn Bridge to see the 9-foot-tall sculpture of the legendary rapper Notorious B.I.G. Our next stop is Adam Yauch Park in Brooklyn Heights, which is a tribute to the life and legacy of the influential musician and activist. The playground features a variety of trees, basketball courts, a community garden, a greenhouse, a fitness area, and even a dog run. In Staten Island, Hip Hop collective Wu Tang Clan has its own district! But no Hip Hop tour of New York 2023 would be complete without exploring some of the most iconic Hip Hop murals in the city. From the ODB mural in Bed-Stuy to the LOX mural in the Bronx, we'll take you on a journey through the vibrant, colorful, and awe-inspiring murals that pay tribute to some of the biggest names in Hip Hop.
