鉱物の部屋74 爪木崎で石拾い
I went stone collecting on the coast of Susaki, Shimoda City, Shizuoka Prefecture. It's near Tsumekizaki, a famous tourist spot. I was able to see unique landscapes such as Tawaraiso (columnar joints) created by volcanoes and prairie dog rocks, and I was able to find chalcedony, agate, red jasper, and more. I'll share my experience while explaining the stones, so please take a look. I'd like to correct that the wild bird I came across was a Daurian Redstart, not a Scarlet Robin. Mineral Names (Alphabetical Order) Pyrite, Pyroxene, Heulandite, Chalcedony, Malachite, Plagioclase, Rock Crystal, Hematite, Agate, Red Jasper Rock Names (Alphabetical Order) Andesite, Pyroclastic Breccia, Tufaceous Sandstone, Green Tuff
