Anna Preto Martini, a twenty-two-year-old office worker from San Bonifacio-Verona, won the eighth Miss Italia Veneto competition. The Veronese native, who arrived with 16 other girls at the "Le Corti Venete" shopping center, earned the title of "Miss Le Corti Venete 2018," valid for Miss Italia, after the customary exits, which saw the seventeen contestants parade on the catwalk set up in the "gallery" of the shopping center. The other four Misses wearing the Miss Le Corti Venete pageant were also from Verona. Along with Anna Preto Martini, the following were also awarded: Stefania Bonomo, a nineteen-year-old accounting student from Illasi-Verona, "Miss Rocchetta Bellezza," second place. Laura Ronca, a twenty-one-year-old dentistry student, placed third in the "Miss Love's Nature" competition. Samantha Pasetto, a nineteen-year-old office worker from Illasi-Verona, placed fourth in the "Miss Fourth Place." Valentina Tognizzoli, a twenty-year-old sports science student from San Giovanni Lupatoto-Verona, placed fifth. Anna Preto Martini, a regional finalist, placed first, freeing up a spot for the regional finals, along with Stefania, Laura, and Samantha. The regional finals of Miss Italia Veneto will take place in July and August. Alice Rachele Arlanch, the reigning Miss Italia, was also present at the "Corti Venete." Alice, who appeared on stage at the beginning of the selection process, was interviewed by Michele Cupitò, and immediately left the shopping center for television commitments at an important sporting event in Desenzano del Garda.
