2026-07-12 LIVE: Divine Liturgy Saint John Chrysostom @ Saint Mark Boca Raton: 6th Sunday of Matthew

On this sixth Sunday of Matthew, we gather to reflect on the healing of the paralytic in Capernaum, as recounted in the Holy Gospel. When the paralyzed man is brought before Christ, the Savior first addresses his deepest spiritual need by declaring, "Son, be of good cheer; your sins are forgiven you." By subsequently commanding the man to arise, take up his bed, and go to his house, Christ visibly demonstrates His divine authority to heal both the hidden paralysis of the soul and the physical infirmities of the body. This miracle reveals that true wellness begins with spiritual reconciliation and restoration in God. The hymns and prayers of this Divine Liturgy celebrate the boundless compassion of Christ, who looks upon our infirmities with mercy and offers us renewal. The Gospel account challenges us to approach the Lord with the same communal faith shown by those who carried the paralytic, reminding us of our responsibility to support one another in our spiritual journeys. We invite you to join our parish family as we worship together, seeking the freeing grace of confession, the healing of our personal paralysis, and the strength to walk in the path of the Lord’s commandments.
