Starting just north of Fort St. John, the route moves through Stone Mountain Provincial Park and continues north along the Alaska Highway corridor, passing through remote stretches of wilderness, mountain passes, and small northern communities. From Muncho Lake, BC to Watson Lake, to Faro, YT, the journey continues deeper into the North before reaching the Tombstone Mountains and the Dawson City region. Along the way, Grant travels through long gravel highway sections, remote backcountry trails, and off-road quad routes, living out of a travel setup that includes extended camping in a horse trailer and remote wilderness camps. The film captures both the challenges and freedom of long-distance northern travel, including weather changes, mechanical issues, solitude, and the constant adaptation required in true off-grid conditions. The expedition continues through historic and remote Yukon locations including Forty Mile and surrounding regions before looping back through northern British Columbia and returning south along the Alaska Highway. This film represents only the most compelling and cinematic highlights from a much longer real-world journey that unfolded over many weeks on the road.
