We didn't expect our mandatory van inspection to go this way! In Germany, we need to get a TÜV (Technischer Uberwachtungsverein) every 2 years. This is like an MOT or Road Worthy Inspection. While we were thinking about mechanical issues and feeling happy that the van was SAFE, we didn't consider that we would FAIL THE TEST due to a broken stove lid!
