Saltwater Fly Fishing... Skipping Flies for Mangrove Jack

Mangrove Jack are one of my favourite species to target on fly. They hit hard, pull hard, and fight hard... and I've said it before... any Jack on fly is a great Jack! In this video I chase mangrove jack (and barramundi, by skipping and flicking a weedless craft fur minnow alone the mangrove lined creeks of the Hinchinbrook channel in North Queensland, Australia. I'll also share a few tips on the fly and the outfit I use including why I prefer shorter leaders for this type of fly fishing... Enjoy! It's only an addiction if you want to give it up... Catch Ya!
