Interview: Jaime DeAnda - Debut Solo Album, 'Volando Solo,' and new label NextGen Latinx Records

A trailblazer and trendsetter for the accordion sound and style, veteran Tejano/Conjunto artist Jaime DeAnda has captivated audiences for more than four decades with his master accordion skills, distinctive vocals, and high-energy dance moves. In 2018, after more than 30 years together, DeAnda and Los Chamacos, known as the premier conjunto showband, split in a move that shocked fans. However, DeAnda continued his journey as a solo artist, most recently, joining forces with a new label, NextGen Latinx Records, and releasing his first solo album, aptly titled, "Volando Solo". The much-awaited album will be available on all digital streaming platforms on April 5, 2024. But fans can buy it now in either digital format so they get it immediately or order online at either nextgenlatinx.com or jaimedeanda.com and get it delivered. DeAnda and NextGen Latinx Records CEO Mike Torres III talk with Tejano Nation about the new album, exciting future projects in the works for DeAnda's musical career, and even address his split from Los Chamacos, and his goal to always entertain his fans whether through his recordings or live performances.
