Lemmon in Tucson AZ. We had the flat repaired at a Tire store before our trip back to Phoenix. That was the start of our TPMS indicator on our dashboard! The store told us the light would turn off halfway home. It never turned off... like for 10 years! Several tire stores serviced our Jeep and every time they failed to be able to get the Tire Pressure light to turn off. During a recall visit at a Jeep dealership, they told me a Bluetooth module in the engine diagnostics failed and needed to be replaced. For $500 I told them I would deal with the indicator light. After 10 years I finally decided to see if an OBDII Adapter and Scanning App could diagnose the issue. I did research before purchasing $30 Vgate iCar Pro Bluetooth Adapter and $15 license for OBD JScan Diagnostic Tool mobile app. The adapter plugs into the Jeep OBDII plug under the Jeep steering wheel. The mobile app quickly offers insight into the warning lights on your dashboard. The solution... the TPMS Threshold was in an Error Setting. I found the threshold was set to either 0 or 99 (Forget). The Tire pressure was never valid because the Threshold value was bogus. I went to the Adaptation options in OBD JScan and quickly changed the Threshold to 29 PSI. Drove a few miles and... TPMS LIGHT TURNED OFF! This video guides you through the menus in the mobile app and how you can verify your TPMS is set up correctly.
