DIY: How to make a snuffle mat for dogs or cats

This homemade snuffle mat is machine washable and requires no sewing skills to make! Materials: Canvas fabric, cut to desired mat size About 2 yards of fleece Scissors Marker Ruler 1. Cut fleece into strips about 1.5 by 7 inches long. Varying sizes are okay! You'll need 200-300 strips, depending on the size of your mat. 2. Mark your canvas. Starting about 2 inches from the edge, mark a grid of dots each 1 inch apart. 3. Make a small cut at each dot, about 1/2 inch long. 4. Tie a knot in the center of a fleece strip. Thread both ends through a slit in the canvas until the knot is anchored at the back. Repeat until all slits are occupied with fleece strips. 5.
