MacBook Air M4 Thermal Pad Upgrade In this video, I open up a MacBook Air M4 and install thermal pads to improve heat transfer and overall thermal performance. We cover: Removing the bottom case safely Internal layout overview Installing thermal pads on the SoC heat spreader area Reassembly process Why I ended up with this MacBook in the first place The MacBook Air line runs fanless, which means thermal management is critical under sustained loads. This modification improves contact between internal components and the chassis to help manage heat more effectively.
