Making an axe handle handtools only / fazendo um cabo de machado americano com ferramentas manuais

In this video, I make a 36” curved axe handle from garapeira wood using only hand tools. I used a vintage American fawnfoot handle as a template and gave it a bigger palm swell than the original. The axe head is a modern 3.5 lbs Collins South American pattern. If you enjoy the video and my work, please subscribe for future tutorials about axes, handles, and bow making! In this video, I make a 36”/90cm curved axe handle from garapeira wood using only hand tools. I used an old American handle with a “fawnfoot” style grip as a template. I made the handle larger than the original, making the grip more comfortable and adding my special touch. The axe is a Brazilian Collins that can be purchased from my Mercado Livre store.
