Religious Pride Amsterdam | Highlights 2024

Pride 2024 saw many Religious Pride events Religious Pride kicked off with the annual Pride Pilgrimage a spiritual and fun activity for everyone to join the pilgrimage passed several churches from outside the city towards Amsterdam. The second day ended with the ‘Prayer for Pride’ in the Nassaukerk. Nine churches were visited along the way for lunch, dinner & a small service. This year the Pride Pelgrimage started in Zandvoort and passed Aerdenhout, Heemstede Haarlem and Halfweg, before ending in Amsterdam. Sunday July 21 saw a special Pride Service in the Oude Kerk with Guest Speaker Suzanne van de Laar Chair of the Board of Pride Amsterdam. In the Westerkerk a festival was organized: ‘Together: Pride in The Wester’ organized for all members of the LGBTQIA community to feel welcome in Church. There was a full day program with talkshows, an exposition, singing & performances the festival ended with a church-dance party. The annual Pride Church Service took place Sunday August 4 at de Keizersgrachtskerk. The 15th anniversary of the Pride Church Service was celebrated with guest speakers Dolly Bellefleur & City Alderman Touria Meliana. There were many more Religious Pride activities this year.
