Riding Caltrain to San Francisco and exploring it
Caltrain is a commuter rail between Gilroy and San Francisco. Opened in 1984, it has 2 sections. the electrified peninsula corridor from San Jose-San Francisco and the south county from San Jose-Gilroy. The south county runs on rush hours and the peak directions. The electrified portion runs all day and the last diesel day is 9/21/24, now replaced with stadler EMUs. Going on buses to Chinatown and Golden Gate Bridge, It was a good ride. An EMU is an electric train that all passenger cars propel the train forward like the Chinese high speed train, but do not think of the French TGV because it has 2 power cars+several passenger cars, it is a what I call a DPT.
