In this video, I show you how to make baked makrout using a simple method with a measuring cup, bowl, or mug to make preparation easier. Ingredients for the dough: 3 measures of semolina 1/4 measure of flour 1 measure of melted (cooled) ghee (or butter) topped up with oil 1 tablespoon of sugar 1 packet of vanilla sugar 1 pinch of salt A mixture of water and orange blossom water to bind the dough Date filling: 200g of dates or date paste 2 to 3 tablespoons of toasted sesame seeds 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon 3 tablespoons of oil A little water and orange blossom water to bind the filling Alternative: Almond filling 3 measures of lightly toasted and crushed almonds 1/2 measure of sugar Vanilla or cinnamon (optional) 1 tablespoon of butter Water and orange blossom water to bind the filling Finishing: Honey and orange blossom water Tip: For extra honey-flavored makrout, Dip them once in the orange blossom-infused honey as soon as they come out of the oven, then a second time just before serving or a few days later for an even more melt-in-your-mouth result.
