He is the third generation to carry on the land cultivated by his grandfather and continued by his father. With the belief that "crops grow when they hear the footsteps of their owner," he is the first to head out to the fields at dawn. Instead of handing them over to the wholesale market, he personally delivers 80 tons a year via courier. However, that path was not easy. There was a year when he lost 150 million won as the garlic rotted away whole in the ground, and days when he sold 30 million won worth but didn't receive even 5 million won back. And pushed out by cheap imports, the elders in the neighboring village are giving up their garlic one by one. Nevertheless, for the past six years, this young man has been cultivating garlic in the same field with the same heart.
