BMW E46 DIY Transmission Service - Fluid, Filter & Gasket Replacement Pt.1

In this BMW maintenance video, I DIY the transmission service on my 2005 BMW E46 330Ci (automatic transmission A5S360R). I show how to drain and refill the transmission fluid, replace the filter, install a new pan gasket and refill the transmission without taking a transmission fluid bath, amazing :) NOTE: GM part number 96025461 is a GM automatic transmission, model A5S360R (also known as a 4L30-E), that was used in various BMW models, such as the E46 330i and 330Ci from 2004-2005. This transmission requires a fluid compatible with the "Dexron III" - I checked the Liqui Moly site and the Top Tec 1200 ATF is compatible with Dexron III and the recommended ATF for this particular transmission by Liqui Moly. There is a lot of confusion on what ATF to use, so knowing what exact transmission you have is the key to the correct ATF. This video is not sponsored, pick your favorite brand. DIY Tips: Always check fluid level and temperature before final fill for proper results - Always loosen the filler plug first, this way you can make sure your can refill the transmission.
