daily chess puzzle 75
June 14th, 2026 - "Lure, Align, Discover!" --- First off; black's pawn is on its starting position. White's pawn can promote in one move otherwise. The little corner is in a sort of stalemate, where if black takes white's pawn, white will take back. So, two moves of the kings follows, as white gets closer to the corner. On the f column, it's the last place a discovered check is possible, so white moves out their rook. This gets white's pawn captured, but as white moves their king to recapture black's Rook, a check is revealed, preventing black from pulling their Rook away. After white takes the rook, black can only survive a bit longer before white can force them to choose between getting checkmated or leaving the pawn.
