L'UMILE ITALIA - un film di Pietro Marcello e Sara Fgaier
Directed by Pietro Marcello and Sara Fgaier from the collective film 9x10 Novanta, produced by Istituto Luce Cinecittà The peasant world respected our landscape, had designed it on its marvelous ruins, and over the centuries had carved the furrows of its history. Carlo Levi taught us that behind that poor and miserable world lay centuries-old, millennia-old contents, made of rules and harmonies. We have chosen to use excerpts from his book "A Face That Looks Like Us," in which his optimistic gaze reads in things, in spaces, and in the faces of men, the poetic image of a people on the move, a choral world with its values of harmony, suffering, humanity, and community. https://www.archivioluce.com/9x10-nov...
